1 History1.1 Puducherry was formed on 1st November, 1954. It became an Union Territory on 16th August, 1962.
1.2 It was formed out of four territories of former French India, namely Pondichéry (Pondicherry; now Puducherry), Karikal (Karaikal), Mahé and Yanaon (Yanam), excluding Chandannagar. It is named after the largest district, Puducherry.

7 1 BEL Jobs Trainee & Project Engineers: Selection Procedure

(i)  A merit list will be prepared, based on the aggregate percentage obtained in BE/B.Tech and work experience, as indicated below:

(a)  75% marks will be allotted for aggregate marks scored in BE/B.Tech. (Candidates have to compulsorily provide the CGPA conversion to percentage of marks as per the guidelines provided by their University).

(b)  10% marks will be allotted for relevant work experience. (2.5 marks for min. stipulated work experience and additional 1.25 marks for every additional 6 months of relevant experience, up to a max of 10 marks).

(ii) Candidates will be shortlisted for the interviews based on the above, in the ratio of 1:5.

(iii) 15% marks will be allotted for interview. Candidates have to compulsorily provide the CGPA conversion to percentage of marks, as per the guidelines provided by the concerned University. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.

(iv)  The list of candidates shortlisted for the interviews will be made available on the BEL Website. Candidates are required to comply with the instructions indicated in the call letter. Video based interviews will be conducted for shortlisted candidates.

2.5 Animals:
(i) Among big carnivores, it has Tigers, Leopards, Clouded leopards, Black Panther, Malayan Sun Bear and Himalayan Black Bear. Migratory elephants have also been reported in some parts of the State. It is an important home of endangered and endemic primates i.e. Hoolock gibbon, Stump-tailed macaque, Assamese macaque, Pig tailed macaque etc.
(ii) Manipur is also the home of 6 species of Hornbills and 4 species of Pheasants. The State falls in the East-Asian migratory flyway of Amur Falcon and many other migratory birds.
(iii) The other important wild animals which are endangered or rare and found in Manipur forests, include Slow Loris, Pangolin, Himalayan Yellow Throated Marten, Monitor Lizards, Hog Deer, Hog Badger, Binturong etc.
(iv) Manipur is the home of brow-antlered deer called as Sangai (Rucervus eldii eldii), one of the endangered deer species in the world, now available only in Keibul Lamjao National Park of the State. It is also called as Manipur Dancing Deer.

6 How to Apply:

Step 1:  Go on link :  https://ibpsonline.ibps.in/sbiscosep21/

Step 2: At right top , “click for New Registration’’.

Step 3: Fill in all the information/ data in each segment 1 to 6. For exam city, refer Advertisement.

Step 4 : Upload scanned copy of photo and signature. ( For details of scanned copy of photo and signature, refer advertisement).

Step 5 : Make on line payment of  Fee as per details given above.

Step 6: When the information/ application is saved, a provisional registration number and password is generated by the system and displayed on the screen. Candidate should note down the registration number and password. It will be used to open the application in future.

Step 7 : Candidate can use the generated pass word and registration number for opening of the saved application to amend the application data if required. Candidate can only 03 times amend the data.

Step 8 : After registering online, the candidates are advised to take a printout of the system generated online application forms.

Language of the Test:

The questions in question paper will be bilingual i.e. in Hindi & English (except English Knowledge). Candidate has option to answer in Hindi or English.

7 Selection Process:

As per advertisement, there are two method of selection depending upon the number of application received by the recruitment body.

 First : If selection through written test and Interview. Selection process will be in two tier as under:- 

  • On line Test
  • Interview

Note:- (i) Adequate number of candidates as decided by the Bank will be called for Interview based on performance in online written test. Interview will carry maximum 25 marks.

(ii) The qualifying marks in Interview will be as decided by the Bank.

(iii) Candidates will have to qualify both in written exam and interview separately.

(iv)   The final merit list will be arrived at as per aggregated score of marks of online written test (out of 250 marks) and interview (out of 25 marks). Weightage of score in final merit will be as below ;-

 On line Test : 75

 Interview     :  25

Second : If selection through Shortlisting and Interview:

 (i) If less number of applications are received , Bank reserves the right to consider selection of the candidate(s) through short listing and interview, instead of Online written test & interview.

(ii)  . Requisite number of candidates for the interview will be called after preliminary screening/ short-listing with reference to candidate’s qualification, suitability, experience etc.

(iii)  Inteview will be of 100 marks. The qualifying marks in Interview will be as decided by the Bank.

(iv) The final merit list will be arrived at on the basis of interview marks only.
