5 Most Common Myths About CBD

CBD has had a long journey back into the public consciousness and offers the potential for a wide range of benefits. In order to get the most out of it, however, it’s important to be able to separate CBD oil myths and facts. Let’s take a look at some of the major misconceptions that people have about CBD.

Myth #1: CBD Gets You “High” Like Marijuana

People believe this largely due to a long-term smear campaign that resulted in CBD being included in the scheduling of industrial hemp as a controlled substance along with its psychoactive cousin. Both plants are part of the cannabis family, but, despite the misconceptions about CBD oil, the chemical makeup is vastly different between the two. Industrial hemp, which CBD is derived from, has 0.3% of THC by weight or less–nowhere near enough to get you “high.” Marijuana, on the other hand, can have THC concentrations of 30% or higher, a 100-fold increase.

Myth #2: CBD Is Illegal

Because there was no distinction made between the two plants for so many years, the legal miasma surrounding CBD was pretty murky. That changed on the federal level with the passing of the 2018 Farm Bill. It unequivocally recognized industrial hemp and marijuana as two separate plants, effectively descheduling hemp and derivative products. This misconception about CBD oil is largely driven by the departmental guidelines and state laws that have yet to catch up with the federal legislation. As an example, some states may prohibit CBD with any THC content, as any product not THC-free runs afoul of outdated laws.

Myth #3: CBD Is Not Effective

Due to the harsh legal climate, quality, peer-reviewed research on hemp and CBD is not plentiful. The result is a lot of anecdotal evidence, but little traditional science. In addition, the FDA has not evaluated claims related to its use to prevent, diagnose, treat, or cure any disease, illness, or condition at the dosages available without a prescription. There is a prescription form of CBD available for some conditions, however, so its characterization as “snake oil” holding no health or wellness potential is one of the misconceptions about CBD oil that is most easily disproved.

Myth #4: CBD Oil Is Dangerous

When used responsibly, CBD oil poses no danger to anyone not allergic or sensitive to the ingredients in your CBD oil product. In addition, many dosage forms put you in complete control, giving you the ability to “take things slow” while you evaluate its effectiveness for you.

Myth #5: CBD Does Everything For Everybody

One of the most damaging myths and facts about CBD oil is the wild statements that CBD oil is a can’t miss cure-all. This is largely due to the fact that CBD oil does show a potential for effectiveness in so many areas. CBD works by interacting with your body’s endocannabinoid system. This system in your body works with almost every tissue and organ to maintain your health. Since the endocannabinoid system can affect hormone release, nerve function, and mental disposition (to name a few areas), the interaction of CBD with it can affect those same areas.

That does not mean that everyone will have the same reaction to the same amount of CBD. In the end, it’s up to you to do your own research about CBD. Once you get past the misconceptions about CBD oil, you’ll be able to make a more informed decision.

Laying turf is a great way to transform your outdoor space and create a lovely green lawn. But before you get started, there’s one crucial decision to make: what kind of turf should you choose?

Many different types of turf are available on the market, so it can be tricky to know which one is right for you. If this is your first time laying turf, don’t worry — we’re here to help. In this article, we’ll give you tips on picking the perfect turf for your needs.

What to Consider Before Choosing Turf

Laying turf is a long-lasting commitment, so choosing wisely is essential. With that in mind, here are some things to consider before making your final decision:

Budget
How much are you willing to spend on turf?
Artificial turf is usually more expensive than natural turf but has a longer lifespan. Consider how much you are ready to pay upfront and the long-term costs associate with your turf before deciding on one.
Usage and estimated foot traffic

What will you be using your turf for?
If you have pets or children playing on the turf, you’ll need to choose a tough variety that can withstand a lot of wear and tear. On the other hand, if you’re looking for turf to create a beautiful lush display, you can choose a more delicate variety.

Quality
Quality is also essential — you don’t want your turf to look patchy and worn after just a few weeks of use.

Look out for artificial grass products with fibers made of polypropylene or polyethylene — these are the most robust and durable kinds of synthetic grass available.

Pile Height
Pile height is the measurement of the length of the grass blades, and it’s an important factor to consider, as it will affect how your turf looks and feels.

A more extended pile height will give you a more natural-looking lawn, while a shorter pile height is better for high-traffic areas.

Image: https://www.pexels.com/photo/green-grass-413195/

Climate
What is the climate like in your area?
Remember that your artificial grass will be exposed to the elements, so it’s crucial to choose a variety that can cope with the climate in your area and one that is eco-friendly. If you live in an area with hot summers, you’ll need artificial grass that is UV-stabilized to prevent it from fading in the sun.

Drainage system
Fluids are bound to find their way onto your turf — rain, melted snow, spilled drinks, or even your pet’s urine.

A sound drainage system is essential to keep your turf looking fresh and clean. Look for artificial grass with porous or perforated backing, allowing fluids to drain away quickly.

Maintenance
How much time are you willing to spend maintaining your turf?

Artificial turf is much easier to care for than natural turf but still requires basic maintenance. You’ll need to brush it regularly to keep it looking its best. If you’re not willing to take the time to care for your turf, choose a low-maintenance variety.

Think of colors too
While considering all of the above factors, don’t forget to consider the color of your turf. After all, you want it to look good in your garden or outdoors!

Go for turfs with a mix of various shades of green, as this will give your space a more natural look.

Investing in turf for your garden is a big decision, but it will pay off in the long run. By taking the time to consider all of the factors above, you can be sure to choose turf that is perfect for your needs.

In today’s busy world, it’s a wise idea to have a space where you can always go to relax and unwind. Creating an area where you can sit and rest your mind, soul, and spirit gives you the opportunity to relax and refocus, and come out feeling more purposeful. Turn your living room into a sacred space with these tips to achieve the zen-like feel that you need.

7 Ways to Zen-ify Your Living Room

  • Diffusers

Essential oils have various scents that release endorphins to help relax and soothe your mind and body. Aromatherapy through a diffuser is good for mental health; rosemary to help awaken the mind, peppermint to restimulate, lavender to relax and calm tension, black seed oil to improve the condition of the skin and hair, sweet basil for energy, and Kratom for its euphoric effects.

Add a diffuser to your room for an even easier way to bring in your preferred zen aromas. Diffusers come in different forms, such as steam, reeds, fountains, and more. Choose your favorite diffuser style and you’re ready to relax.

  • Crystal Decor

Bring a touch of natural sparkle and light to your room with crystal prisms. When sunlight creates rainbow designs from prisms in the room, it creates a mesmerizing display of colors. Some creative items that bring in crystal rainbows are gemstone suncatchers, holographic rainbow window film, small window clings, or crystal prism balls.

You can also add other gemstones to your crystal prisms to bring in more natural properties. Amethyst is a beautiful purple gem associated with meditation and clarity, cherry quartz brings peace and comfort, and sapphire offers wisdom and concentration. Design your own preferred crystal decor and let the sun shine on it to get the most from nature’s jewels.

  • Cozy Blankets

Whether you sit on the floor or in a chair, feeling a comfortable blanket around or underneath you helps enhance the relaxation. Bundle up under an Egyptian cotton blanket to enjoy the warm feeling of the soft, breathable fabric. Once you get comfortable, anything you do next is guaranteed to feel more relaxing.

  • Floor Lamp

Leave the ceiling light off and use a floor lamp to bring a softer glow to the room. Use it as an accent light on a cloudy day.

Simply-styled floor lamps are a popular trend. Find a floor lamp design that goes with your room’s style, whether a tall single pole or tri-pole table with a lamp up top. We recommend you choose a dimmable light, so you can enjoy your preferred brightness at any time.

  • Neon Light Sign

Bring a little color and positive words to your living room with a neon light sign. The neon look of the sign will bring some energy and excitement to the room, as well as a little extra ambient light. If white noise is comforting to you, the soft buzz of the neon light is sure to enhance the zen. If you choose a customizable neon sign with a phrase, choose the words carefully; perhaps select an inspirational message that will help you refocus and realign.

  • Plants

Plants not only refresh and clean out the air in your living room but also add a very calming effect to the space. Some great plant ideas for your zen-filled living room are:

  • Jasmine plants for a beautiful flowering plant that helps reduce stress.
  • Snake plants for the ease of headaches and cleaner air.
  • Areca plants for cleaner air, lower anxiety, and lower blood pressure.
  • Music

Play your favorite calming music as you sit in your living room, relaxing and detoxing from life. Water and nature sounds relax the body, soul, and spirit. Listen to the peaceful sounds and envision the beauty of nature around you as you relax; you’ll be glad that you did.

Enjoy Your Zen-filled Room

Start designing your relaxing living room today and enjoy the sounds of music, sights of rainbow prisms, ambient light, and fresh air. No matter how you decide to zen-ify your living room, your choices will help you regain a sense of calmness with every minute you spend in there.

One of my favourite things about being Indian is that we are not afraid of bright
shiny colorful celebrations – and what better way to showcase this than with
traditional outfits and ethnic footwear.

Indian traditional ethnic footwear has a long and colorful history. Starting with the
leather handcrafted kolhapuri chappals which have been around for over a
thousand years, to the ‘jutti’ or ‘mojari’ originating in North India but now muchbeloved throughout the country, the variety is extraordinary.

The textiles and handicrafts of India are also well exhibited through the array of
ethnic footwear found here – you can find the mirror work, stonework and zardozi
embroideries, you can find bandhani and kalamkari prints, and of course you can
find a beautiful fusion of Indian handicrafts and western styles like heels and
pumps.

Today’s traditional, festive and wedding fashion is a culmination of a long evolution,
a relic of heritage that we have inherited but also a representation of contemporary
style that we have adopted. In a country as multicultural and celebratory as ours
there are many occasions to express ourselves through our style.

We have entered a festive period that is going to last a lovely few months until the
end of the year. Whether it is Navratri or Diwali, a party or a puja, there will be
plenty of opportunity to wear your gorgeous new traditional outfits and footwear.

So, dust off those sari bags and pull out your shararas, twirl away in your lehengas
and drape your dupattas. It is time to shine in the most beautiful way our culture
intended for us. Below you will find the best ethnic footwear styles that will light up
your festive season.

Crushing on Kolhapuris
We are big fans of this traditional style of footwear because they are just so
versatile. Women – and men – have been wearing kolhapuris for generations. The
beauty of this style is that the more you wear a pair the more comfortable that pair
gets – the leather gets softer and they mold to your feet. The fun is that now you
can get them in so many styles and colors that they work with casual and formal
outfits. My absolute favorite style recently has to be the kolhapuri stiletto – talk
about rocking that fusion wear! Especially with the trending outfits now being a fusion style with jackets and pants – or skirts and shirts – this fusion style off Footwear is absolutely spot on.

Mojri and Mules
We love mojris – some call them juttis – because they are as comfortable as ballet
flats but just so much cuter with fun embroidery and prints. Mules are like mojris
that are open-backed. They also come in heels, especially little block or cone heels.
Super elegant this style is great with anarkalis, kurta suits and saris.

Zardosi & Hand Embroidery
The best of Indian fashion, footwear with traditional prints and hand embroidery
with tikkis, stones, beads and mirrors as well as thread work is a much-loved
fashion statement. Style up your Indian wear with the brightest and loveliest of
zardozi and hand embroidery. Studded with diamonds and stones these styles will
have eyes turning towards you at every festive occasion.

Festive Shimmer and Bling
Sometimes all it needs for a pair of women’s footwear to work with your traditional
outfit is a bit of shimmer. Take a regular strappy stiletto and dip it in shimmer and
it becomes the perfect pair to wear with your wedding sari. The same goes for your
gold pointy toe pumps and your glam ankle strap wedges. When in doubt, add
some shine.

Conclusion
It must be said that whether it is wedding footwear or any festive occasion or party,
Indian women’s ethnic footwear offers an enormous range for us to play in.
Whether you are looking online or offline, you will find the best ethnic women’s
footwear range with a brand like Regal Shoes. So, get out there in your ethnic best
and shine away like a Diwali ka Diya.

Herbal supplements have the potential to support a healthy lifestyle. Natural products like Kratom, hemp that help the body deal with stress and strain, and support healing, can be useful in the build-up to competition. Herbs that support mental functions may aid focus during important events. Energy-boosting herbs can be useful in any strenuous sport.

Here are just a few herbs that may boost your athletic performance and aid your ability to compete. Most of them can be purchased at any large pharmacy or health store.

Boswellia, Or Indian Frankincense

Boswellia grows natively in India and Northern Africa. Its Latin name is Boswellia serrata.

Boswellia is an anti-inflammatory herb that has deep roots in traditional Ayurvedic medicine. Its sap is rich in a variety of beneficial organic compounds, including some that are being studied for antidiabetic and anticarcinogenic properties.

Compounds found in Boswellia may support heart health and brain health. Boswellia may help your body deal with pain, letting you focus better during intense competition.

Boswellia has been used traditionally to fight asthma, COPD, and other respiratory ailments. This herb may help some people breathe easier, and boost the amount of dissolved oxygen in the blood. This is especially important when you’re pushing your body to the limit.

Cordyceps

Cordyceps is the term used to describe a group of medicinal mushrooms. The scientific name of the common variety is Ophiocordyceps sinensis. It is a thin, finger-like fungus native to China and Southeast Asia.

Many different species of Ophiocordyceps are under study for potential medicinal use. Compounds found in cordyceps may aid in treating ailments like cancer and diabetes.

Cordyceps are used in traditional Chinese medicine to treat conditions like high cholesterol, diabetes, asthma, and respiratory afflictions. Some people in the US find cordyceps useful as an aid in weight loss.

A study conducted at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill found that controlled doses of cordyceps can increase the amount of oxygen in the blood of some young adults. Having more oxygen in your blood is necessary for increased endurance.

Eleuthero Root, or Siberian Ginseng

Eleuthero is not American ginseng or ‘true’ ginseng, although it sometimes shares the name. Its scientific name is Eleutherococcus senticosus, and it grows in the cold climes of northeast Asia.

An adaptogen like other ‘gingers,’ eleuthero supports the immune system. It supports the circulatory system and brain functions as well. This herb has been used in traditional medicine as an aid for gaining strength, increasing bone density, and as an anti-inflammatory agent.

Studies indicate that eleuthero may boost the level of oxygen in your blood, aiding stamina and endurance. It was first used by Soviet athletes seeking an advantage over competitors.

Other studies on Eleuthero have shown it can lower blood sugar levels. It may interact with medicines used to treat diabetes, increasing their effectiveness. Use eleuthero with caution.

Green Tea

Green tea is a name for tea made from the dried leaves of several different plants. It differs from darker teas, or black teas, where the leaf is allowed to ferment. Green tea is harvested and dried in a way that maintains vital properties that would be lost otherwise.

Green tea contains many organic compounds. Among them are catechins, also found in fruits and other plants. Catechins are antioxidants that help protect cells by eliminating free radicals that can cause illness or promote aging.

Research has indicated green tea may help reduce blood sugar spikes after meals and increase insulin sensitivity. Green tea can boost your metabolism, and it can help your body shed fat. This makes green tea useful for people who want to lose weight.

Green teas have caffeine, so they can provide a welcome energy boost that could help get you through long, strenuous events.

Guarana

Guarana is a common term for Paullinia cupana, a shrub that’s native to South America.

Guarana has been used for generations by native people of South America. It is part of many indigenous treatments and ceremonies. Some cultures use it for fishing, by pulverizing the entire plant in water. The juice released by the leaves, stems, and roots has a tranquilizing effect on fish, making them easy to collect.

Guarana is a potent stimulant that is high in caffeine. It can provide a powerful boost of energy. It also contains compounds that may help suppress appetite. These qualities make it popular in energy drinks and diet pills. Like green tea, it promotes fat burning and contains powerful antioxidants.

Kratom

Mitragyna speciosa is the Latin name for the plant that produces kratom. It is native to Southeast Asia. Variant forms of kratom include red vein, green vein, and white vein varieties.

Kratom may provide several benefits to athletes. It boosts energy levels without caffeine, and it supports cardiovascular health. Its soothing aroma may help you relax and ignore the minor aches and pains that come from a good workout. This can help you heal faster.

Kratom may also help you maintain focus during intense athletic events when you need to keep your eye on the ball. It may elevate your mood, helping you maintain a positive attitude when the going gets tough.

Suma, Or Brazilian Ginseng

The Latin name for Suma is Pfaffia paniculata, a plant native to South America. It may go by other names, such as Hebanthe paniculata, Hebanthe eriantha, and Iresine erianthos. It’s all the same herb.

Suma root supports the immune system and may help reduce pain. It is a prized herb in traditional medicine, where its blood sugar-lowering properties have been used to treat diabetes and other ailments. It may lower cholesterol levels.

Suma contains beneficial compounds and potent antioxidants like ecdysteroids.

Ecdysteroids are a group of natural steroids. These compounds can be found in some plants, water animals, and insects. Ecdysteroids can act as anabolic steroids in the human body, and help increase muscle mass. This makes Suma and ecdysteroid-rich supplements popular with weightlifters.

Use Herbs With Care

Herbs can contribute to a healthy athletic lifestyle. Professional athletes should consider herbal products carefully. There may be restrictions to the use of certain herbs in competition. Before using any herb, make sure it is within the guidelines for your sport or event. Consult with a professional if you are unsure.

You’ve produced a fabulous new range of products. Everything’s been designed and carefully constructed, and you’re really proud of the result. What now? If your products are worth their salt, the presentation and packaging are also important, because how your customers see your products will influence how much value they place on them.

We often don’t think about it, but product photography is one of the most important forms of branding for companies. It shows your customers the quality, attention to detail, and overall value of your products. The preparation for a product photography photoshoot can seem difficult or even overwhelming, but with this guide, it doesn’t need to be. Remember that you have just as much control over the outcome of your product photography shoot as your photographer does!

Begin with a Mood Board

Image:Image: https://www.pexels.com/photo/woman-in-green-long-sleeve-shirt-writing-on-white-paper-4622227

Before you start with a product shoot, it’s important to get an idea of what you want your visuals to look like. Gather inspiration with a mood board. A mood board is a collage of images or even classical artworks that inspire you and help you define the visual style for your shoot. You can use mood boards in many different ways: from finding props to planning lighting and production design.

The best places to find inspiration are Pinterest boards or Instagram accounts that relate to your product line. For example, if you’re shooting floor lamps then it’s likely that you’ll find inspiration from other online furniture stores or interior design blogs. This will give you an idea of how other people have approached their product photography and what kind of results they’ve had.

Plan Your Shot List

A shot list will be your detailed guide throughout the shoot, and it should include every possible variation on each photo that you plan to take during your product photography shoot. This can be as simple as knowing which products will be used, or more complicated if you have multiple products with different angles or different lighting setups. You could even sketch out some of the shots if the written descriptions are not detailed enough.
Choose the Right Background and Lighting for Your Products

Image: https://unsplash.com/photos/aS4Duj2j7r4

Think about how you want to light your products and make sure you have all the equipment you need to do so. Will you use natural lighting or artificial lighting? All of your images should have similar lighting conditions so they’ll match up well in post-processing. Make sure they all have good contrast between light and dark areas so they’ll pop when they’re used together in a single image.

You’ll need to find backgrounds that don’t distract from your product as well. If you’re working with a white background, experiment with different sizes of light panels and umbrellas for softness. Also consider how much contrast there should be between the product and its background — if there’s too much contrast, it may make your image look more like a painting than a photograph.

Gather Your Props

Be very deliberate in choosing your props. Props are the items that will be used in conjunction with your product to increase its visual appeal. Use them to tell a story or emphasize an idea.

It’s important to keep things simple. Choose a few specific items that will help you tell your story about the product. Avoid having too many different types of props for each item so that you don’t confuse the viewer.

Clean and Prep Your Products

Image:

https://www.pexels.com/photo/a-woman-taking-photos-of-the-silverware-on-the-wooden-table-7679878/

Before you start shooting, make sure to clean and prep your products as much as possible. Take off any labels, stickers, or other unnecessary accessories from them. If necessary, remove dust particles or stains from their surfaces. This will save time during post-processing because there won’t be any distracting elements in the background of your photos or unwanted marks on the surface of the products themselves.

Preparation is key to success in product photography.

When embarking on a product photoshoot either solo or with a content creation studio, taking the time to properly prepare will result in beautifully detailed photos and increase brand awareness. With everything in order, you’ll be better prepared to make your product photography experience, and your brand, a success!
